Fall Flavors We Love (and Why You’ll See Them Soon)

There’s just something about fall that makes everything taste better. Maybe it’s the crisp air, maybe it’s the cozy evenings, or maybe it’s the excuse to put cinnamon in everything. Either way, this season brings some of our favorite flavors to the bakery and while we’re still working on our official fall menu, we couldn’t resist sharing the flavors that have us most excited.

Pumpkin

It’s not fall without pumpkin. Whether it’s folded into a cake batter, baked into a loaf, or blended into a silky pie filling, pumpkin’s mild sweetness and creamy texture make it the perfect base for warm spices. And speaking of spices…

Cinnamon & Nutmeg

These are the heartbeats of fall baking. A pinch of cinnamon can transform a simple sugar cookie into something that smells like home. Nutmeg, with its slightly earthy, sweet bite, takes everything from pumpkin bread to custard over the top.

Maple

Sweet but complex, maple brings a caramel-like depth to frostings, glazes, and fillings. We love pairing it with pecans, apples, or cinnamon for a true autumn flavor profile.

Apple

Tart Granny Smiths or sweet Honeycrisps - we don’t discriminate. Apple bakes beautifully into pies, crisps, muffins, and even savory dishes. The smell of baking apples alone feels like a warm blanket on a cool day.

Cranberry

The pop of color and tart flavor make cranberries a seasonal must-have. They shine in cheesecakes, muffins, and scones, and balance out richer desserts beautifully.

Why This Matters for You

When we build our seasonal menu, it’s not just about tradition, it’s about flavor combinations that make you want to go back for seconds. Some of these fall favorites will make their way into our September and October specials, and others will show up as surprise “baker’s choice” treats for market days and pop-ups.

Pro tip: Follow us on social media so you don’t miss those one-off bakes. They tend to disappear fast.
