These notes cover ordering windows, cottage food disclosure, allergens, pickup, delivery, shipping, and case-by-case changes or cancellations.

Home bakery notice

Happy Hippo Bakery is a home bakery in Hutto, Texas.

THIS PRODUCT WAS PRODUCED IN A PRIVATE RESIDENCE THAT IS NOT SUBJECT TO GOVERNMENTAL LICENSING OR INSPECTION.

Allergens

Happy Hippo Bakery is not an allergen-free kitchen. Products may contain or come into contact with wheat, milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, sesame, and other common allergens. If you have an allergy or dietary restriction, please reach out before ordering so I can let you know what is realistic.

Ordering window

Please allow 48 hours whenever possible for cookie, pie, pantry, and standard bakery orders. Custom cakes and cupcakes usually need at least 2 weeks notice. If your date is sooner than that, you can still submit the inquiry form, but availability may be limited.

Pickup and delivery

Pickup is in Hutto by appointment. I will coordinate the pickup window with you after checkout or after your custom order is booked.

Local delivery may be available when the address, timing, and bakery schedule work together. I will always do my best to make pickup or delivery easy, but timing does need to work with bakery capacity.

  • Hutto local delivery: available within the city of Hutto for $15.
  • Greater Austin local delivery: $40 for nearby areas such as Taylor, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Austin, Georgetown, Cedar Park, and similar local-area addresses.
  • Delivery is available only when the timing works.

Custom cake booking

Submitting a custom cake inquiry does not reserve your date yet. I review the date, design, serving needs, and availability before sending a quote or payment link.

Your order is officially booked once the details are confirmed and the deposit or payment is received. Final balances are due before pickup or delivery. Design changes may affect the price and depend on timing.

Cancellations, changes, and quality issues

Ready-to-order menu items are made to order or prepared in small batches, so changes or cancellations need reasonable notice before production starts.

Custom order deposits are non-refundable once the date is reserved and design or planning work has started.

If there is a quality issue or an error with your order, please reach out as soon as possible so I can review it and make it right case by case.

If I ever need to cancel an order because of an emergency on my side, you will have the option to reschedule or receive a refund.

Product availability

Products are available based on current bakery capacity, ingredient availability, and batch inventory. If an item is listed as unavailable or sold out, please feel free to check back or reach out. Some items come back seasonally or in small batches.

Shipping

Shipping is limited to eligible shelf-stable items and is available only within Texas. Custom cakes, refrigerated items, and local-only products are not available for shipping.

Shipping times are estimates. Once an eligible order is with the carrier, Happy Hippo Bakery is not responsible for carrier delays.
